Nixon & I spent some time in Utah visiting with my brother, his wife, and son before heading to IL to visit my parents. Here's some pics of Nixon & Lincoln in the car together.

Yellowstone National Park

Brad's family reunion this year was at Yellowstone. It was great spending time with his parents, brothers, sisters, & their families. We saw a lot of sites and animals while we were there. Mostly bison and a few bears. I'll have to figure out how to add the pics from the other camera later.

We love to watch Bob Ross paint every Saturday morning on PBS. Brad was interested in trying to paint like Bob Ross, so I got him a kit, that gives you the paints and tools that you need to create your own "Bob Ross" painting, plus a step-by-step dvd teaching you how to create the above painting. So Brad sat down one day and created his own masterpiece. He also has a book that has step-by-step directions to create other Bob Ross paintings, so one day I'm sure he'll paint more.

3rd Anniversary Weekend

Thanks to Brad's parents we were able to go on a mini vacation for our anniversary. They provided a hotel, some spending money, and they babysat Nixon. We just went to Phoenix, but it was still a nice getaway. We went to a Dodgers spring training game, went mini golfing, played arcade games, saw a few movies, and went out to eat. If you're laughing about the arcade games, then let me explain. Brad has a favorite pinball game at Golf Land called Attack From Mars. He used to play it all the time when he lived here before we got married, but he wanted to play again. It was a fun couple of days to relax and spend some time together - just the 2 of us. Now, if we could only do this once a month :-)

Brad, Matty, & Noah all have birthdays close together and Noah & Olivia happened to be visiting, so we celebrated all 3 b-days with Sprinkles cupcakes. They are fancy cupcakes that cost $3 per cupcake, but Brad thinks they're worth every penny.

The Big 3-0

I made a homemade carrot cake & homemade cream cheese frosting. It was delicious! And yes, there are 30 candles on the cake!
